About the Role

Main function/responsibilities

  • Lead, drive and develop the logistics and warehouse Supply Chain pillar in APAC
  • Ultimate accountability for all procurement and efficiency targets for this category in the Region
    • Risk Management
    • Efficiency Projects
    • Efficiency KPI’s
    • Working Capital Improvements
    • Sustainability
  • Accountable to contribute to and roll out global logistics initiatives – important in the coming years will be the roll out of SAP and associated TMS /  WMS
  • Provide Regional expertise in all aspects of supply chain but with special focus on Logistical and Warehouse efficiency, commercial contracts, RFQ’s, best in class systems, process and tools
  • Compile, curate and analyses all category data for the region in order to develop robust category strategy to deliver short and medium term business targets
  • Work closely with the local teams to implement procurement strategy on Regional / local level – providing project management support and managing  stakeholders effectively to remove any local project roadblocks
  • Identify and develop logistics projects to deliver continuous improvement in service levels, TCO, efficiency and systems & process
  • Continuously asssess category resource in the region, identifying any skills or capability gaps and further make recommendations for recruitement, training and development
  • Ensure the country team members have targets defined and is in alignment with the involved Sika Target Markets and country/regional strategies
  • Assures compliance and ethical standards with applicable laws, Sika’s Procurement Manual and Sika Code of Conduct.

  • Demonstrated broad understanding of supply chain management with particular expertise in all aspects of customer freight (out bound logistics)
  • Familiarity and expertise with best in class industry systems process and tools including digitisation, ERP systems, SAP, AXA,  TMS, WMS, Big Data analysis, Business by Design
  • Experience with supply chain cost management including vendor management, negotiation, Total Cost of Ownership analysis; Should Cost analysis; RFQ, contract management, supplier qualification and supplier scoring
